Find direction.
Make decisions.
Move forward.

Professional or personal coaching sessions with me will help you do exactly that.

I am an EMCC Global qualified Senior Practitioner in Coaching in training, and I am offering special introductory pricing - more details below.

I bring nearly a decade of experience from therapy into our work as a dual-accredited coach. We will look at how you operate so you can identify ambitious but realistic options and put them into action.

Whatever your aim, I offer a free half-hour opening chat to discuss how we could work together. No pressure, just a chance to see if we could help you develop a plan you actually follow.

What are you working towards today?

Forget just working harder: coaching is about thinking clearly about what is going on so you can make intentional choices.

People often come to coaching because they are stuck but know therapy isn't the right answer. You might want to think through your current options, what they bring to the table, and what is getting in the way of taking action.

Some coachees focus on work: making decisions on changing jobs or sectors, or solidifying confidence while adjusting to a new level of seniority.

But coaching can also focus on personal areas where you are stuck and don't know what to do next. In practice, these often overlap: we’ll likely work across both your professional and personal life.

What will you get working with me?

My intention is that we use our sessions to help you think clearly and move forward, without jargon or pressure.

Many of the people I work with are already highly capable and resourceful. But that often brings its own complexity. I know what it means to meet people at real depth, getting to know their resources and weak points, the areas which flow and the ones they avoid.

Coaching isn’t just about navigating your complexity; it’s also about the complexity around you, and I’m well-versed in helping people navigate that with ambition and realism. There is little point in setting goals too mild or wild when it comes to setting a plan you will actually follow.

I’m currently in training to be a Senior Practitioner in Coaching, working with coaching leader Dr Trish Turner to develop my grounding in up-to-date tools and techniques, all of which I will bring to bear.

My professional life before counselling and coaching included journalism (with health, social care and the public sector the mainstays, alongside an unexpected detour to comedy), as well as time in PR and the charity sector. I know what it’s like to work in organisations from scrappy startups to storied institutions.

So how is coaching different to counselling?

This is a complex question, but coaching is often more future focused, and that's why coaching involves a lot of talk about goals.

Your past and how you operate still matter, but there’s more of a clear destination to get to. The aim isn’t just to understand what’s going on, but to leave with a clearer sense of what to do next.

Coaching is not a passive experience. We'll clarify what matters most, identify the options, work through what gets in the way and see what the next steps are.

We will also look at where you can build more agency, but you will need to put real thought into every step and stretch yourself to put a plan into action.

If you're not sure whether counselling or coaching is right for you, no worries: drop me a line below and we can talk through the options.

What practical details do you need to know on working together?

While I build my hours, I am offering introductory pricing - £150 per 90-minute session. I also offer a free half-hour opening chat to see if we might be good fit.

I charge different rates for organisation-funded work, just let me know if you want more details.

An average run of sessions involves six to eight sessions of 90 minutes, but the number of sessions and length can vary depending on what you need.

We don’t fix a regular slot but agree the next session afresh every time, so you find the optimum rhythm to put some plans into action.

Sessions can take place in person in London (at your workplace or another suitable location), or we can work online from anywhere through Google Meet.

If you’re considering coaching, contact me to set up the free half-hour opening chat to see whether this feels like the right fit.
